Cookie policy
This site stores three small things in your browser, and none of them is used to track you. This page says what each one is for, what the two outside services we use may do, and how to clear or block the lot.

What this site stores

That is the complete list. If your browser blocks storage, or you are in a private window, the site carries on working and simply forgets these three things between visits.
Third parties
Two outside services can appear on this site, and each sets whatever it sets under its own rules rather than ours.
Google Maps
Our contact page shows a map of the yard, embedded from Google Maps. Google may set its own cookies when that map loads. We have no control over them and we cannot read them. The rest of the site carries no map, so the map only loads if you visit that page.
Stripe
When you make a donation, the payment is taken by Stripe on Stripe’s own pages. Stripe sets cookies there to process the payment and to guard against fraud, under Stripe’s privacy policy, opens in a new tab. Nothing from Stripe runs on this site until you choose to give.
Video
There are no YouTube, Vimeo or other video embeds anywhere on this site, so none of their cookies is set. If we add one, this page will say so.
No analytics or advertising
We do not measure you. This site runs no analytics of any kind, no tag manager, no advertising pixel and no social media tracker. We do not build a profile of you, we do not sell your details to anyone, and we do not share your browsing with anyone.
That is also why the site does not greet you with a cookie banner. There is nothing here to ask your permission for: the three items above are needed for the site to behave sensibly, and the only third-party cookies possible are the ones Google sets on the single page that carries a map.
Clearing or blocking them
You can clear everything this site has stored at any time, and nothing will break: the newsletter sign-up and any announcement will simply start again from scratch.
- In Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies, then See all site data and permissions. Find horserangers.org.uk and delete it.
- In Safari: Safari, then Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data. Find horserangers.org.uk and remove it.
- In Firefox: Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data, then Manage Data. Find horserangers.org.uk and remove it.
- In Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions, then Manage and delete cookies and site data, then See all cookies and site data.
Every browser can also block storage and cookies altogether, or open a private window that forgets them when you close it. Blocking them will not stop you using this site. If you would rather no Google cookie was set at all, do not open our contact page, or block third-party cookies in your browser settings.
